Erinna

Poetess from Telos who probably lived during the 4th century BC, even though some say she was a contemporary of Sappho.

Erinna wrote a poem of 300 lines, the Distaph, which was about a young woman who died before getting married.

She wrote in the Doric dialect and just a few fragments have survived.
